A Rare Jewel, Living By Example
Written and directed by Elizabeth Nonie
December 20-21, 2008
(l-r: Filonna Thomas and Kirsten Mae Austin)
What a cold day, it was like an ice storm or something that weekend. I say it was the coldest days in 2008. Anyhow, the cast did an excellent job with their roles. I love this picture. Virginia, portrayed by Austin, was trying to defend one of her coworkers as Raven looks on, oh so irritated.

Front Row l-r: Javier Dominguez, Kirsten Mae Austin, Heather Breo and Tiffany Williams)
This cast had so much fun with this show. We had a great time. Rehearsals were a blast and the cast had so much energy I found it hard to keep up with them at times. We literally laughed the whole time. Someone was always giggling somewhere on the set. It was hilarious. Everybody had their moment. Great fun!
Thanks cast for a job well done.

I had so much fun with this cast. The cast really brought a lot of positive energy. Good job cast. I received many compliments about this play and several people asked me to produce it again. However, that happens everytime I produce a show. God is good to me. Look for Heather Breo and Vanessa Prokuski in The Right Answer. We had so much fun. This play is hilarious. See the tab, I Ain't Stingy photos to see pictures from the play.

It really felt like I was planning a wedding with this production. The audience loved this play. I was told it was my best production to date. Someone always says that though. It was my sister Stormy this time who said that (smile). She loves stories that are easy to watch where she won't cry. It was a lot of fun. Now, let me tell you, CorVet Williams as the bride, get out now, the audience loved her performance! They cheered so loudly when she came out it was almost deafening! They ooh and ahh when she came out as the bride. Several men in the audience commented on her beauty! She also is a great asset. Yolanda McKenzie got some laughs along with me as the bourgie bridesmaids. We had loads of fun and cannot believe it's over already. I have to produce this one again. The dresses ahhhh, LaToya Dotson made them and the bride's dress too! My friend is so talented and creative. Who would have known when I met her at an audition I had December 8, 2007 that she would become a great asset to Plus Size Productions and such a great actress. Mike Mills hosted and Kirsten Austin and Michael Moody came on board to help as production assistants. People are beginning to take notice of how good Devonne Lawler is with the lights and sound and i've received compliments on that as well. We had a great time and a great turnout. Working together as a team is crucial and this cast did just that. Thanks cast and crew for a job well done. After the show audience members shared with me just how much they enjoyed the show. There are more photographs from this production. See the tab entitlted Wedding Of The Century. (smile).

We had a lot of fun rehearsing this play and the cast is just marvelous. The cast really gave some really memorable performances. The audience really enjoyed it. I got a lot of positive feedback. Several people told me they cried throughout the play, they said it was so moving and touching. This play tells the story behind a brothel. A lot of times the bad things and problems we see in our neighborhoods didnt just start. They have roots that run very deep. Deep like water. I received emails and telephone calls from people in the audiences on Saturday, August 30th and Sunday, August 31, 2008 about the performances of the actors. I was even cast in a movie! :-) I love this cast and you will see them again. Several audience members enjoyed discussing the play with me over the telephone, which has made me consider having audience discussions after my shows. I did say this play is thought provoking...people are still thinking and talking about it.
The Cast of Sweetie Ain't Starvin'
Written and directed by Elizabeth Nonie
June 27-28, 2008
We had a fabulous time with this production. LaToya and Mike really gave this play all they had. They were so good and it was so funny. The audience was cracking up at LaToya, Mike and myself. They are truly professionals and I am certain I will work with them again and again. Wait until you see it on video. It's great. This play chronicled a summer in the life of a man named Sweetie, who is caught between two women - the wife he loves who can really cook on the stove and the girlfriend on the side who cooks in the bed. This was hilarious as we played all the characters in the play. This play took a lot of skill and involved strong ensemble work (there were three actors but seven characters). We really committed to the roles. Everytime I finish a production, people say, you need to do this again and I say time and time again, I have so many characters and plays in my head and on paper until I could go on producing new works every month and never stop. When will I get a chance to go back? LaToya and Mike were a lot of fun to work with. We had so much room backstage until we didn't know what to do, however I still managed to trip and fall down on the floor one night backstage between scenes. Nobody heard me but if you could have seen Mike getting me up off the floor you would still be laughing. Is this the beginnings of an ensemble cast? I love these two...

The Cast of The Gold Handcuffs
Written and Directed by Elizabeth Nonie
May 23-24, 2008
(The Cast counter-clockwise: Toni Lynice Fountain, Akio Miller, Mike Mills, LaToya Dotson, Ayesha Traylor and Katherine Lofton) I know you are wondering who this woman is on the right????? It's me! Elizabeth Nonie as the character "May" in The Gold Handcuffs. I couldn't find a caucasian woman to do it, so I did it myself. I did my makeup myself as well :-) It was a lot of fun.
The cast of The Gold Handcuffs did a fabulous job as the quirky workplace with all of its problems and benefits. The cast brought a lot of energy to the production. The audience loved this play. Many who saw it have seen all my previous plays and I received many comments stating that this was the funniest of my plays thus far. LaToya Dotson and Mike Mills gave memorable performances and stole the show as they cracked audiences up as the crazy supervisor and her employee with problems.
The Cast of Urban Relations
Written and Directed by Elizabeth Nonie
April 30 & May 10, 2008

This cast was absolutely fantastic. We had such a great audience on April 30, 2008 and they wanted to see the show again so I decided to produce it again. This show was previously produced at The Temple of Glory International in Chicago for the month of February (2008). I only intended to produce it for one night only but the demand for the show was great and still is great. I will be sure to post information when I decide to produce it again. You will definitely get to come out and see this show again. Then again, you will get to see all my plays because I will produce them all again. It's just that I have so many plays that God is giving me that I have to tell the stories he gives me in order. If you had an opportunity to see this show, I am sure you enjoyed it. The audience was howling. It took a real look at what happens in relationships: how we get caught up in them and the consequences of getting into relationships based on lust. Thank you for your encouraging emails and compliments. I appreciate them. Yeah, Yeah, I know. The men are fione! The women look alright. Smile. Wait, I know i'm beautiful, um Rowkeena and Katherine have to take up for themselves. :-)
The cast of The Family Mess Expert
Written and Directed by Elizabeth Nonie
March 21-22, 2008
(Cast l-r: Jeremiah Glover, Rowkeena Lani Ellis, LaToya Dotson, Sugar Babe, A.J. Curry, Toni Lynice Fountain and Simeon Henderson)
The drinks you see in their hands are actually props. There was no real drinking on set :-). The actors in this production were so convincing, at times I had to ask myself were they playing themselves. Each and every character brought a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the set each day which made the production that much more fun. The Family Mess Expert tells the story of a dysfunctional family with a lot of problems and secrets that are covered up by their pride.
The Cast of Jezebel Ain't Dead
Written and Directed by Elizabeth Nonie
February 22-23, 2008
What a wonderful time we had with this show. You can watch a clip from one of our Technical Rehearsals. We had so much fun doing that scene until I told the cast to stop, so I could pull out my camera and tape the scene. You can watch the clip on youtube.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKgYHn2czpM (watch out now, you can hear me giggling in the background). Jezebel Ain't Dead is the story of a pastor trying to uphold the vision God gave him when he became pastor of a church without interference from a controlling member. I would personally like to thank this cast for a job well done and for all their hard work and dedication! I would also like to say that Melanie Reif is leaving Chicago for Los Angeles to pursue her career in film and television full time and I wish her nothing but the best because she is fabulous! I will really miss you Melanie! Keep in touch - I know you will make it and I am praying for your success! Love ya Girl! Special thanks goes to Halaina Newman, Devonne Lawler and Pleshette Simone Davis-Moore and for being the best technical crew ever! (Cast l-r: Top Row: Toni Lynice, Latoya Dotson, Melanie Davis, Melanie Reif and Dillard Taylor, Jr.
Front Row: Ayesha Traylor, Jonus Miller and Jeremiah Glover)
The Cast of He Ain't Cheatin', She Is
Written and Directed by Elizabeth Nonie
January 4-5, 2008
He Ain't Cheatin', She Is chronicles the comical story of what happens when a workaholic Christian man neglects his wife. Congratulations to the cast of He Ain't Cheatin', She Is for a job well done. You worked really hard and I appreciate all your hard work. The actors received lots of compliments on their performances. Toni Lynice was a great hit as the bartender of Stormie's Nip N Sip and Melanie Reif had the audience in tears as she had "dedicated her life to Bustin Out people who cheat." Te'Hila Robinson did a great job as the cheating wife and Jonus Miller was hilarious as the dirty dog cheating with a married woman. Dennis JeanPierre was fabulous as the distraught husband who discovers his wife is not so Christian and Yolanda McKenzie was great as his sister who discovers her indiscretions.

front row l-r: Jonus Miller, Te'Hila Robinson, Dennis JeanPierre and Yolanda McKenzie)
